Concepts

Zaha Hadid
  • Movement: The use of flowing lines gives the illusion of movement.
  • Deconstructionist: Taking the space down to the most simplest of elements.
  • Organic: The use of natural shapes, like boulders or rocks.
  • Contextual: The design reflects the use of the space and local influences.
  • Collaborative: The deigns are a collaborative effort through her team and her partners. 
Herzog and de Muron
  • Materials: Use of different materials for facades and innovative use of materials and textures.
  • Geometry: The use of standard geometry to create complex structures.
  • Orientation: Changing the orientation of shapes to create a merging of indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • Illusory: Giving the building a unconventional layout gives changes the perception of the structure.
  • Amalgamation of local culture and environment.

Final Render

The design fits the context of a Light rail stop to be situated within the urban environment of Kingsford.


Creating the tram stop to simply serve as a tram stop. Taking the larger amalgamations and scaling them down to fit the environment and use. 

Adding the lattice work to roof adds an organic shape to give the illusion of movement.
